Accessibility is written into our mission statement and foundational to our values as a company. As our CEO Sundar Pichai has said, “Technology’s great promise is to give everyone the same power to achieve their goals. As long as there are barriers for some, there’s still work to be done.” To mark Disability Awareness Month, we’re highlighting stories about the people at Google building more accessible technologies, some new products and initiatives, and users who stand to benefit from products that break down barriers. These stories highlight how making accessibility a core consideration from the earliest stages of product design results in better outcomes that improve lives.
