Helping more people in the Arab world find their next job

People come to Google for all sorts of questions and queries to plan and improve their lives. Whether it’s to find a better home or school or that next career opportunity that will help them grow and achieve. I know from personal experience that a sense of excitement often accompanies the fear that comes with looking for a job .
I am thrilled to announce that starting today, a new feature on Google Search will make finding the right job opportunities for you a much faster and simpler experience. We built on the great work already being done by regional job portals such as WUZZUF, Bayt, Rekrute (and many more) who’ve been matching employers with the right talent for years.

Starting today, when you enter a job-related query in Arabic (example: “jobs near me”, “teaching jobs” or similar queries) you will get results from across the web on the main Google Search results page that meet your unique needs. The results will include details under each job position like its exact location, the date it was posted, and details about the role by the employer. Once you make the decision to apply for an opening, you’ll be redirected to the partners’ site where the position was first posted.

This feature is designed to make your job searching journey as efficient as possible. We know that you can’t monitor job openings all day, which is why you can now enable alerts on the kind of jobs you want to know about. You can also save your searches and bookmark them while you prepare that resume or cover letter.

We partnered with 11 job portals that have a local and regional coverage. Our local partners include Emploitic, Novojob, and Rekrute in North Africa. While in Egypt we worked with WUZZUF and Forasna. As for regional coverage, our partners are Bayt, Jobzella, Wzayef, Akhtaboot, Laimoon, and GulfTalent. This feature is an ongoing project which we want to continuously grow. It is also the result of a deep collaboration with the job-matching industry, so if you’re a job portal or a company eager to include your job openings for millions of people to see on Google Search, visit our website to get started today: jobs.google.com/about/.

This feature builds on Maharat Min Google, a digital skills building program we launched in April to equip millions of Arabic speakers all over the world with essential digital skills designed to help their careers and businesses through online courses. So you can now get a certificate in digital skills upon completion of the full course and apply for different jobs without having to leave the same browser’s window.

Whether you’re a recent graduate looking for your first job, a parent supporting a growing family, or simply hunting for your dream role, we hope this new experience on Google will help make the job search simpler and connect you with your next job.
