Vice President Labs and Virtual and Augmented Reality
Clay Bavor is the VP of Labs, a group focused on applying emerging technologies to developing new applications that could meaningfully advance Google’s mission.
Clay began his career at Google in 2005 as an Associate Product Manager and has worked on products including Search and in Workspace (Gmail, Docs, and Drive). Clay was one of the co-creators of Google Cardboard and since 2014 has led Google’s efforts in AR/VR, including ARCore, Daydream, Project Starline, and Google Lens. In 2021, he founded the Labs group.
Clay grew up in Los Altos, and holds a B.S.E in Computer Science from Princeton University.
