Pixel Watch 4: Design upgrades, new fitness features and expanded AI
Today we introduced Pixel Watch 4, our biggest update to the Pixel Watch yet. It’s completely redesigned to help you live a healthier life, stay connected and stay ahead of your day. It also has industry firsts including a domed Actua 360 display. And soon, Gemini will be just a raise of your wrist away for on-the-go assistance. Plus Pixel Watch can also detect a loss of pulse. [1]
Exquisite design, unrivaled performance
We've completely redesigned Pixel Watch 4 while maintaining the iconic circular shape.
- A new, domed display: It’s not just the glass that’s curved. Pixel Watch 4 features a first-of-its-kind Actua 360 display that’s physically curved to deliver a 10% larger active area and an edgeless appearance with 16% smaller bezels than the Pixel Watch 3. Plus, it’s easier to see, even in direct sunlight, thanks to a 50% brighter 3000 nit display. [2]
- A more personalised, responsive feel: Material 3 Expressive brings the display to life, making it even more dynamic and personalised, with richer colours, eye-catching clock faces and more glanceable UIs. It comes with a new custom haptic engine, and an upgraded custom speaker that makes every interaction with Gemini feel even more delightful.
- The longest-lasting, fastest-charging capable battery: Pixel Watch 4 has a 25% longer battery life than the Pixel Watch 3 — that’s 30 hours on the 41mm and 40 hours on the 45mm And with Battery Saver mode, you can extend that to two (41mm) and three days (45mm) [3]. Plus, the thoughtfully designed Quick Charge Dock allows Pixel Watch 4 to charge 25% faster than before with a compatible adaptor, going from 0-50% in just 15 minutes. [4]
- More powerful compute under the hood: This generation features our most advanced hybrid compute architecture yet with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon® W5 Gen 2 Wearable Platform, and our next-gen ML-powered co-processor.
- A durable, serviceable design: Pixel Watch 4 features durable custom Corning Gorilla Glass and an Aerospace-grade aluminum housing, and it’s water-resistant up to 50 metres. For the first time ever, it’s serviceable — with a replaceable battery and display.

Advanced health and fitness capabilities
Pixel Watch 4 delivers our most comprehensive and accurate health and fitness tracking to date:
- Smarter sleep tracking: Pixel Watch 4 delivers our most accurate sleep tracking yet. Using new advanced machine learning models, it’s 18% more accurate at classifying your complete sleep cycle, tracking time spent in each stage of sleep. [5]
- Enhanced skin temperature sensing: With a new Skin Temperature sensor, the watch detects when you're out of your personal range. This helps indicate changes in your wellbeing, like when you might be falling under the weather.
- Our most accurate route tracking: New dual-frequency GPS unlocks enables our most accurate route tracking in even the toughest environments, like a city run or tree-dense hike. [6]
- Real-time bike stats: Plus, enjoy real-time streaming of your metrics from your wrist to the Fitbit app as a heads-up display on your handlebars for cycling.
- New exercise options: We’ve added new Exercise modes (bringing the watch to 50+ options), including pickleball and basketball.
- Personalised, automatic tracking: And now, even when you forget to start a workout, your watch will use AI to automatically detect and classify your activity and send you a recap so you never miss out on your stats.

This is all in addition to our robust suite of advanced health and fitness tools, like stress management, Cardio and Target Load, Health Metrics Dashboard, Morning Brief and more.
Your new, personal AI health coach
Together with our team of experts, we're introducing a personal AI health coach, built with Gemini. It provides proactive fitness and sleep coaching and on-demand guidance, uniquely tailored to your goals and real-life circumstances based on metrics from your Pixel Watch. This effectively gives you a 24/7 health coach on your wrist. [7]
We're launching a preview of the personal health coach for users who use any Fitbit device or Pixel Watch in the U.S. this October in a completely reimagined Fitbit app, with Australia to follow later.
Seamless, intelligent connectivity
With Pixel Watch 4, added on-device AI capabilities help you communicate while staying in the moment — like Smart Replies when you have a compatible Pixel 8 Pro or newer Pixel phone, which offers AI-powered responses, contextually tailored to your conversation.
And now Gemini, your on-wrist AI assistant, helps you get more done, hands-free. With Raise to Talk coming soon, you can access Gemini by simply raising your wrist — so you can still get help or answers even when you’re carrying the shopping or a coffee, or walking the dog.
