A new creative partner
Coming up with fresh, engaging ideas can be a challenge. So we’re giving the Inspiration Tab in YouTube Studio a makeover, creating a brainstorming buddy powered by generative AI. It’ll help curate suggestions that you can mold into fully-fledged projects with video ideas, titles, thumbnails, and outlines to match your style.
Next year, we’ll introduce a new shortcut that takes you right to the Inspiration Tab from anywhere you find inspiration, like your top comments, other videos, or even your own catalog.
Building deeper connections with each other
There's a special connection between you and your most loyal fans on YouTube—the ones who are always there, never missing a moment. And we want to embolden you to connect in even more powerful ways:
- More than just comments, Communities: Your very own corner of the internet, right on creators' channels, will be a central hub to discuss videos, share fan art, connect with like-minded individuals, and build a vibrant sense of belonging. Communities are available now on a handful of channels, with plans to continue to add this feature for more of you this year. You can learn more about it at our blog post here.
Plus, a comments tab rehaul: We’re transforming the Comments tab in the YouTube Studio app into ‘Community,’ a hub for deeper fan engagement. Responding to lots of comments can be overwhelming, so we’re adding AI-enhanced reply suggestions tailored to your style, giving you a helpful starting point that you can easily customize to craft your response. Look out for this feature and more time-saving tools like a community spotlight and audience metrics soon!
Unlocking even more avenues to build a business - and a platform of your own
Today, YouTube is the only platform that shares revenue with creators at scale, across multiple formats. Our YouTube Partner Program pays out more than any other creator monetization platform, and we’ve paid $70 billion to creators, artists, and media companies over the last three years.
As our creator ecosystem has grown, we’ve continued to invest in expanding the ways more creators can make it — no matter how long you’ve been doing it or what your preferred format is. Here's the latest:
- Unlocking more opportunities in the living room: The living room has become a new frontier for creators who are increasingly crafting experiences designed specifically for the big screen. And it’s paying off: The number of creators making a majority of their YouTube revenue on TV screens is up more than 30% year over year. To help our creators' content shine on TVs, they will soon be able to organize their content into seasons and episodes, making it easy for viewers to tune into the new must see TV. We're making other improvements to the TV experience with immersive content that plays directly from a creator's channel, streamlined subscription options and easier access to links in descriptions.
