Introducing a new fashion and lifestyle experience in Google Pay in India
Finding fashion and lifestyle inspiration is a deeply personal journey for many of us. More often than not, this journey starts with an everyday spark like a new trend a friend is wearing, or a styling video that catches the eye.
We want to help bring those style sparks to life right within the app people already rely on for many of their daily essentials. We are beginning to pilot a new personalised fashion and lifestyle experience inside the Google Pay app in India.
With this, shoppers will have access to a dedicated space to discover, visualise, and find products and looks tailored to them. The experience is built on the 60+ billion continually updated products in our Shopping Graph, alongside our cutting-edge technologies spanning visual search, virtual try-on, and YouTube videos.
This experience is currently limited to a select number of users as we gather feedback. To see if you have access, ensure your Google Pay app is updated to the latest version and look for the Discover icon at the bottom of your screen. By tapping it, you can:
- Browse personalised fashion content: Explore a curated visual experience of fashion and apparel products and trends tailored to your preferences to help with your shopping needs.
- Visualise with virtual try-on: See how select clothing items look and drape on you before making a decision by using product-level try-on from individual listings. Soon, you will also be able to explore pre-generated daily looks for outfit suggestions.
- Find similar styles: Snap a photo or upload an image right within the experience and instantly discover visually similar products across the web.
When you find a look or an item you love, a quick tap takes you directly and securely to the merchant’s website, where you can easily complete your purchase using your preferred payment method. More details here.
