Google Pay Launches in Saudi Arabia, Enabling Simple and Secure Payments for Users

Today, we announced the official launch of Google Pay and Google Wallet in Saudi Arabia, helping users pay fast, simply, and securely with their Android phones.
The service, which is enabled by the national payment system (mada) in Saudi Arabia, will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
Google Pay allows users to make secure payments using ‘Tap to Pay' for seamless payments in stores, and soon in apps and on the web. It also enables them to easily add and manage their mada cards and credit cards like Visa and Mastercard within the Google Wallet application.
With Google Pay, users can make safer payments with multiple layers of security. This includes industry-standard tokenization, which means when they use Google Pay to pay, transactions are made using a virtual card number (a token). This token is device-specific and is associated with a dynamic security code that changes with each transaction.
Beyond enabling payments, Google Wallet also securely stores their digital items like loyalty cards, boarding passes, event tickets and more. This keeps everything important organized in one convenient place, making it easy to access whatever they need, right from their phone.
Google Pay is available to users of the following banks (Al Rajhi Bank and Riyad Bank). Additional banks will be rolled out gradually.
You can download Google Wallet from the Google Play Store today.
