10 Startups join the second Google for Startups Accelerator in South Africa

In South Africa, innovation is at the heart of progress. South African startups are building for impact and working to solve problems and unlock opportunities despite the challenges they face when it comes to limited resources.
Google is committed to empowering founders to thrive and build sustainable businesses. We believe in the boundless potential of these entrepreneurs. This year, the program supports AI-driven startups that are creating critical solutions in South Africa. We will be providing the right resources and mentorship; helping the startups to scale and compete on a global scale.
This year, we’ve selected 10 startups for the Google for Startups Accelerator: South Africa Program!
This cohort was chosen from over 400 applications, reflecting the high level of interest and incredible talent within the South African tech scene. These innovators are solving challenges across various sectors, including fintech, agritech, healthtech, and professional services.
Over the next three months, the selected startups will participate in a hybrid program where they will have access to:
- Expert mentorship from Google experts and engineers, giving guidance to help them navigate their unique challenges
- Equity-free funding to help them fuel growth and continue building the businesses
- Technical workshops and the access to Google’s AI tools and resources, including Gemini
- Networking and global exposure, giving the startups visibility through Google’s network and providing opportunities to connect with potential partners and investors.

The selected startups are building solutions across financial services, agriculture, health, energy and professional services:
- Adjunct – An AI-driven legal research platform for legislation, regulation and case law.
- eFama App – A digital marketplace linking farmers and buyers with fast payments and an AI-powered pricing engine.
- ejoobi – A recruitment platform which uses AI to connect employers with job seekers.
- Rapidhuman AI – An end-to-end design-thinking platform that turns ideas into code, cutting development time by up to 80%.
- Ruka - Ruka simplifies complex digital challenges for African businesses through intelligent, human-centered solutions.
- Perks & Co – A benefits marketplace with embedded finance and automation to help employers support their teams.
- Squirrel Away – A women-led fintech app that converts everyday gifts into long-term investments.
- TeledoctorSA – Offering digital health and telemedicine services using wearables for continuous, preventative care.
- Thola Energy –Providing energy coordination across industrial buildings to reduce waste and downtime.
- Funti3r – A platform connecting global enterprises with skilled professionals for essential tasks.
