Google I/O Connect India 2025: Empowering developers with AI to lead India’s ambitions
Throughout our AI journey, we have been deeply committed to bringing our cutting-edge technology to unlock potential, pushing the boundaries of what's possible and making these advancements accessible to everyone. In the Gemini era, this commitment has surged with unprecedented speed. Over just the last few months, we have released several families of Gemini models, with our most recent Gemini 2.5 being the most intelligent, as well as our lightweight state-of-the-art Gemma open models. We’ve also delivered generative models for creative expression - Veo for video and Imagen for stunning images - and taken the first steps to bring the transformative power of AI agents to radically improve capability and productivity.
And earlier today, we announced that Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite, our fastest and most cost-efficient model in the Gemini 2.5 model family, is now generally available.
Indian developers have been amongst the most enthusiastic about this technology. Indian developers have been actively applying our cutting-edge capabilities toward India’s AI ambition, accessing them through Google AI Studio, Cloud and Vertex AI. From CoRover.ai building conversational AI platforms on the Google Cloud AI stack, to Dashverse, ToonSutra, inVideo and Glance leveraging our GenMedia capabilities to bring users engaging visual stories and experiences. Entri has built its e-learning platform for exam preparation on Gemini, and Nykaa has strengthened its platform with image-based search using Gemini.
