At this year’s Made On YouTube, we unveiled new features that bring YouTube Music app users closer to their favorite artists, songs, and podcasts:
YouTube Music users discovered an artist new to them over 450 million times in July 2026, and now we’re making that even easier: We’re rolling out improvements to the YouTube Music app so you can further explore new artists and podcasts.
Built directly into the YouTube Music app, Ask Music is a conversational experience across podcasts and our catalog of over 300 million songs, including official studio recordings, remixes, live performance, covers and DJ sets. With new features that let you customize your queue or dive deeper into artist lore, Ask Music makes controlling your music effortless.
And, we’re giving YouTube Music and Premium subscribers more to discover on YouTube Music with your podcast lineup, a new personalized AI-audio guide available in the YouTube Music app that delivers a quick, weekly spoken preview of recommended shows and digs into why you’ll like them, before jumping into the suggested episodes — completely eyes-optional and hands-free.
From crate digging to curating, discovering your next podcast obsession or favorite underground artist should be easy. Both updates are coming soon to YouTube Music and Premium subscribers worldwide.
