Android expands pilot for in-call scam protection for financial apps

This screenshot shows a smartphone displaying a security alert overlaid during a call on the "Tri-Bank" app. The alert dialog is titled "Security and Privacy" and its main message reads "Probable Scam." The alert warns the user that scammers may be attempting to access their finances through this call. It strongly recommends that the user end the call for their protection, which would also stop screen sharing. The alert then includes three key security tips: The caller may be impersonating someone else. Do not follow the caller's instructions. Do not make any payments or share any information. There is a prominent red button at the bottom of the alert that says "End Call Now." Below it is a countdown timer that says "Wait 30 seconds to continue."
