Connect with creators on the biggest screen with YouTube’s latest features
At this year’s Made On YouTube, we announced new features to further the connection viewers can build with creators right from their living room:
Over half of YouTube's top 100 creators have TV as their most watched interface, so we’re going to continue giving creators the prime time treatment as they experiment with different formats.
Building on Creator Shows, we’re introducing Shorts series. With Shorts series, creators can now structure their Shorts into seasons and episodes, while new features like custom thumbnails and sequential playback make it seamless for viewers to discover new Shorts and keep watching. Starting today, Shorts series is rolling out to creators in the YouTube Partner Program, across web, mobile, and TV.
Creators from around the world are already leaning into episodic, multi-part storytelling with Shorts. And we’re seeing a huge increase in popularity in microdramas. In the first half of 2026 alone, microdramas on YouTube surpassed 6.5 billion views, with watch time growing by over 50% year-over-year. And even though microdramas are a mobile-first format, views of microdrama content on TV alone increased by over 90% year-over-year.
And while watching videos, viewers can now join the conversation straight from the big screen. With voice inputs, they’ll be able to post comments directly through their TVs without switching to another device.
Posts are also getting an upgrade to enhance how creators connect with their communities. On average, more than 300M users engage with posts daily on YouTube. On web and mobile devices, viewers will now be recommended posts from the Shorts feed, expanding creators’ audiences. And in the coming months, we’re bringing posts to TVs so you can easily find and engage with creators from the comfort of your couch.
No matter what screen you’re watching on or what you’re in the mood to explore, we’re excited to bring you closer to the creators and videos you love.
