How India’s Creators are Finding Their Tribe
When creators come together, the entire industry moves forward. That’s why fostering a strong sense of community among creators - a place where you can find collaborators, mentors, and friends who just get it - is at the heart of what we do.
This commitment was on full display recently as we celebrated a special milestone in India: our 100th Creator Collective, a celebration of this creative community. What started as a small gathering in Chennai in 2023 has blossomed into a nationwide movement, bringing together over 10,000 creators across 17 cities.
But the real magic isn't in the numbers; it's in the stories of connection and collaboration that have come from it.
No creator is an island
Jenni MJ has been a pillar of the community since the very first session, earning the nickname "Jenni Akka" among her peers. For her, the most valuable part of a community is having a crew with whom you can navigate tools, experiment and collaborate with.
Resilience is shaped by shared experiences
Sheetal Gauthaman's journey proves that a "go slow to go fast" philosophy is easier to maintain when you aren't doing it alone. Today, she’s turned a period of creative rework into a massive national success.
Sheetal Gauthaman has mastered the "Shorts-to-longform" flywheel. By linking her Shorts directly to her longer videos, she has bridged the gap between discovery and deep engagement. This strategic use of the multi-format ecosystem helped her latest series achieve massive success.
Where your niche finds its people
Janhavi Tiwari, who runs the channel thebrowndaughter, is proving that authenticity is the surest way to build trust and grow community. She has leaned into YouTube Shopping, using the expanded merchant ecosystem, including beauty leaders like Nykaa and Tira, to build a sustainable business beyond traditional brand deals.
She has used her platform to champion expanded shopping tools, showing young and emerging creators how to monetize their authentic passion projects early in their journey.
Turning passion into profession
DCT EATS transformed their channel by shifting from simple uploads to building distinct Content IPs. Through insights shared within the creator community, they learned to package their food and travel content for global brands, creating a monetization roadmap that has already fueled views and fandom.
A place where you belong
The true power of this community lives in the stories of the creators themselves. It’s how Shorts duo Payal and Tena met their creative match, Mayo & Kaketaku, leading to a cross-border collaboration. It’s a space where community anchors like KL Biju Bro inspire new creators, showing them what’s possible. And it’s what creators like Hiren and Ankita rely on to troubleshoot the daily grind.
In 2026, we are going hyper-local to ensure every creator has a "local tribe" to lean on. We’re also bringing AI upskilling directly to our creator community, ensuring creators have the right tools to stay ahead of the curve.
If you are a creator eager to become a part of this community, you can sign up here.
