In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fitbit, the market leader in the fast-growing Connected Health and Fitness category, today unveils a new pink Fitbit Flex wristband and announces a partnership with the American Cancer Society. Throughout October, Fitbit will raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer by contributing $10 to the American Cancer Society for every pink Flex wristband sold. Together, Fitbit and the Society are taking steps to finish the fight against breast cancer.

“We’re excited to work with Fitbit to help educate people that small, everyday changes can add up to big rewards.”

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women in the U.S. and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths. The American Cancer Society works to save lives by helping individuals get well and stay well, by finding cures and fighting back.

“Leading a physically active lifestyle is a great way to help reduce your risk of breast cancer,” said Colleen Doyle, MS, RD, Director of nutrition and physical activity for the American Cancer Society. “We’re excited to work with Fitbit to help educate people that small, everyday changes can add up to big rewards.”

Fitbit designs products and experiences that track everyday health and fitness, empowering and inspiring people to lead healthier, more active lives. Like the American Cancer Society, Fitbit is fighting back too, offering an exclusive color for consumers to show their support for a special cause, with proceeds going to help the Society finish the fight against the disease. The pink wristband joins Flex’s stylish colors – Black, Slate, Teal, Navy and Tangerine; Pink Flex is the latest way to stay fit, match your style and help fight breast cancer, one step at a time.
