This post was originally published on the Fitbit press site. It has been adapted from its original format.

Fitbit, the leader in the connected health and fitness market, today announced pre-sale global availability of the highly anticipated accessory collection created in collaboration with New York design house PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit Alta. First debuted at New York Fashion Week in February 2016, the PUBLIC SCHOOL accessories blend aspirational runway fashion with edgy, urban street-style, elevating the sleek design of Alta by bringing its unique aesthetic to the device’s easily interchangeable accessory bands. Available for pre-order today at Fitbit.com, the PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit Axis Accessory Band and Type-III Paracord Bracelet will begin shipping globally in November, with additional print band designs available in 2017.

“One of my favorite things about PUBLIC SCHOOL’s designs is the range—they mix sportswear and tailoring, pair high and low with ease, and present as both upscale and edgy,” said Eugene Tong, stylist for PUBLIC SCHOOL shows and contributing fashion editor and market director, Men’s at W Magazine. “The unexpected marriage of PUBLIC SCHOOL’s aesthetic with Fitbit’s innovative technology brings that unique range of style to people in a way that will help fit fitness into their daily lives and provide them with an exciting opportunity to coordinate technology to personal style, mood and activities.”

The line of PUBLIC SCHOOL accessories showcases Fitbit’s commitment to strategic partnerships with leading fashion designers and brands to create a range of accessories that allow you to express your personal style while leading a healthy and active life. Creative Directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, the famous duo behind PUBLIC SCHOOL, were inspired by the challenge of taking Fitbit’s innovative technology and designing a collection that was not only functional, but also fashion-forward.

“This partnership is the ultimate fashion and fitness collaboration,” said Kevin Harter, VP Fashion Direction at Bloomingdale’s. “The Bloomingdale’s consumer incorporates both looking good and feeling good into their everyday lives and the new PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit accessories allow for personal expression with an element of cool while embracing an active lifestyle.”

The collection features approachable luxury designs for men and women that range from high-end bracelets inspired by urban spaces, to more accessible print bands that bring a contemporary and sophisticated look to Alta. Alta is a slim, sleek customizable device with advanced health and fitness features that make tracking workouts effortless and delivers positive motivation to keep you moving. PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit Alta styles include:

  • Axis Accessory Band ($295): Inspired by speed, power and motion, this hand-polished watch band is an untraditional take on a classic timepiece and creates an unexpected statement piece.
  • Type-III Paracord Bracelet ($175): Designed as a nod to parachute cord, this braided black bracelet with custom gunmetal hardware mixes an athletic aesthetic and rugged technicality.
  • WNL Print Band and Quill Print Bands ($39.95): Available in 2017, these sleek prints feature the design house’s inspirational brand mantra “When Nobody’s Looking” and iconic feather in designs true to PUBLIC SCHOOL’s color palette and style.

The PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit Alta premium accessories are now available globally for pre-sale at Fitbit.com, and will begin shipping in November. The accessories will also be available in late November at select global and North American retailers, including Bloomingdale’s, Hudson’s Bay Company, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. The PUBLIC SCHOOL for Fitbit print bands will be available in 2017.
