The world's greatest athletes are headed to Paris for the Olympic Games. And with features across Search, Gemini, YouTube and more, you can experience the action wherever you are.

1. Get real-time updates on Search

With 10,500 athletes competing in 329 events across 19 days, there’s always a lot going on at the Games. Search is making it easier to catch every moment.

When you search for a specific country, sport, athlete or the Games in general, you’ll see up-to-the-minute schedules, results, medal counts, top video highlights and daily recaps, as well as the latest top stories and social media perspectives. And since this experience is localized, you’ll automatically see schedules in your time zone, as well as performance updates and trending events in your country. Look out for surprise features to celebrate record-breaking wins and medal victories.

You’ll see other Olympic content show up across Search. There will be a Doodle on the homepage every day of the Olympic Games, illustrated and animated by Doodler Helene Leroux and guest artist Chris O'Hara, celebrating a range of different sporting events. And, coming soon, don't miss the Most Searched Playground, an interactive experience where you can test your knowledge of legendary athletes, iconic sports, and the vibrant cultures of Paris and the Olympics.

2. Explore Paris with Maps and Waze

To help visitors and locals navigate Paris during the Games, Google Maps and Waze will provide updated routing for temporary restricted driving zones and road closures. Waze’s new traffic events feature will notify drivers in Paris of upcoming and active road disruptions, which they can share directly with friends to help them prepare for their own ride.

New public transit features on Maps make it a breeze to automatically preview how to get to your destination by bus, train or subway — letting you quickly factor things like the number of transfers into your decision. Plus, you can easily find air-conditioned routes, estimate ticket costs, see real-time disruption information, track your journey right from your home screen and find official Olympic shuttles.

As you plan your itinerary, use Immersive View — now available for 50 new cities in Europe — to virtually experience famous attractions and sporting venues. And new restaurant lists on Maps can help you curate the ultimate Parisian culinary tour, from tried-and-true favorites to hidden gems. You’ll also see lists of curated attractions and activities from local travel guides like Sortiraparis.

When you arrive in Paris, use augmented reality in Maps to explore the city's iconic landmarks in a whole new way, thanks to content from Google Arts & Culture. For example, rolling out soon, you’ll be able to see early architectural designs of the Eiffel Tower from the 1900s. If you’re not in Paris, don’t worry — this content is also available in Street View.

3. Tune into creator content, broadcast highlights and more on YouTube

YouTube is collaborating with official broadcasters for Paris 2024, including NBCUniversal, Eurosport, Claro, CazéTV and the IOC, to bring thousands of hours of Olympic content and highlights to fans around the world. In select markets, official broadcasters will also live stream events and Opening and Closing Ceremonies on their YouTube channels.

And for a closer look at what's happening at the Games, official broadcasters and the IOC are bringing YouTube's top lifestyle, travel, food and gaming creators to Paris to share on-the-ground coverage.

If some of your favorite events are happening at the same time, you can follow them all with the multiview feature, which allows you to watch up to four streams at the same time. Multiview will be available on Claro Sports’ YouTube channel in select Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, and on CazéTV’s channel in Brazil. In the U.S., YouTube TV subscribers can use the multiview feature during NBCUniversal's live coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as well as other features such as medal counts.

4. Learn more about the Games with Gemini

As your personal AI assistant, Gemini can help with everything from learning about new Olympic sports and athletes, to planning fun watch parties. For example, try asking Gemini: “I’m having friends ages 21-30 over to watch the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony. What are some easy, Olympic-themed snacks and beverages I can serve?” Or, prompt Gemini: “What are the key differences between competing in the Olympic Road Cycling Race and the Tour de France?” to get a brief summary of what sets the two events apart, like length, rules and intensity.

5. Explore the official Olympics app and other content on Google Play

Throughout the Games, Google Play will feature apps, games and books to help you get into the Olympic spirit. Explore the official Olympics app, watch your favorite events on official broadcasters’ apps or practice your French with language-learning apps. Check back on Play for daily updates.
