Last year, we made basic access to Google Vids, our AI-powered video creation app, available to all Google Workspace for Education users. We also launched the inaugural Google Vids Education Film Festival, a global competition highlighting how educators are using Vids. We received more than 100 submissions from 20 different countries, covering a variety of topics ranging from video explainers to professional development content to stories for the classroom and more. We’re excited to announce that the overall festival winner is Google for Education-Certified Innovator and Technology Training Specialist from Penn Manor School District in Pennsylvania, Judy Keller, who partnered with fellow educator from the United Kingdom and Google for Education Champion, Roddy Peters, to create “Detective Game: Spot the Fake News!,” an education video focused on media literacy.

Congratulations, Judy and Roddy, and thank you to everyone who participated.
