In December, we announced Veo 2, our latest video generation model that creates incredibly high-quality videos in a wide range of subjects and styles. Now, you can try it out the next time you create a YouTube Short.

Veo 2 is coming to Dream Screen, a YouTube feature that lets you input a text prompt and generate unique AI backgrounds for your Shorts. With Veo 2, you can generate higher quality video backgrounds, faster — and you can now even generate standalone video clips for Shorts.

These features are launching now for anyone in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to expand to more areas in the future.
