Our newest Google Home devices are built for Gemini

Today, we’re introducing a new portfolio of devices for the home built around Gemini. We’re bringing you new Google Home and Nest devices that deliver the best, most optimized Gemini experiences, while also working with partners so you can choose from a wide array of form factors, designs and price points.
Our new lineup of Nest Cams and Doorbell, specifically engineered to bring you the power of Gemini for Home and deliver more peace of mind, are here. We’re also sharing the new Google Home Speaker, the first audio device built for Gemini, bringing our most advanced and helpful voice assistant into your home.
The new Nest Cams: Smarter and built to last

To deliver the full potential of Gemini's intelligence, these devices needed to be true AI cameras that could interpret and understand. Our three new wired devices — the Nest Cam Indoor (3rd gen), Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd gen) and Nest Doorbell (3rd gen) — were built to provide the rich, detailed data our multimodal AI uses, so you get better alerts and can find important moments, faster.
Our best image quality ever: All three new cameras feature 2K HDR video, our highest resolution yet, so you can see every detail with incredible clarity. This provides the critical leap in detail our AI needs for advanced semantic scene understanding; independent, third-party testing from DXOMARK ranked all three new cameras first in their class for image quality.

Wider, taller views: The new cameras feature our widest and tallest field of view ever, letting you keep an eye on wide yards or driveways. The new Nest Cams capture a sweeping 152-degree diagonal view, while the Nest Doorbell offers a 1:1 aspect ratio and a 166-degree diagonal view so you can see packages on the ground, wide entryways and visitors from head to toe.
The new wired Nest Doorbell offers our widest and tallest field of view yet. The red outline shows the field of view from our previous generation wired Nest Doorbell.

Improved low-light performance: Low-light performance is greatly improved so you see rich color and detail, thanks to a new sensor and a wider aperture that allows for more light sensitivity than our previous cameras. This means the cameras can now stay in full-color mode much longer at dawn and dusk than before. And, of course, they still feature high-powered infrared night vision so you don’t miss a moment, even in total darkness.
This upgraded hardware unlocks powerful new Gemini for Home capabilities from our new cameras:
AI notifications
Search your video history with Ask Home
AI descriptions
Home Brief
Get the full picture behind every alert: Know exactly what’s happening at home with more detailed notifications like “dog jumps out of playpen." And see the important moment up close with a zoomed-in video preview. 1
Scroll less and find more: Search your video history with Ask Home. Just ask something like, “What happened to the vase in the living room?” and get an event description along with relevant video clips. 1
Catch up at a glance: With Home Brief, you’ll see a summary of hours of footage into a quick, digestible summary. 1
Helpful features, right out of the box
The new cameras are packed with helpful features that are included with your purchase, no subscription required.
Zoom in on what matters and crop out what doesn’t: You can digitally zoom in and crop your camera view to stay focused on one important spot, like a garden bed or walkway. You’ll see a high-quality image in your live feed and video history. We're also rolling out zoomed-in animated previews with your alerts, so you can see exactly what triggered the event — like a person's face or a car in the driveway — right from your lock screen.
Built-in intelligent alerts: Like previous Nest Cams, these new cameras and doorbell come with built-in intelligent alerts that can identify a person, vehicle or animal, and the Nest Doorbell can also alert you about packages.
See what you missed with increased video history: If you miss an alert, check out event video previews. We are doubling our included event video history compared to the previous generation of Nest Cams and Doorbells from three to six hours. This isn't just a text log; you get 10-second clips of each event that happened.
Thoughtful design, privacy and sustainability
Your privacy is foundational to our design. All our new cameras use encrypted video by default, two-step verification through your Google Account and a clearly visible green LED that lets you know exactly when the camera is processing or streaming video.
This launch also marks a decade of using recycled materials in our home devices. The new Nest Cam Outdoor and Nest Doorbell are made with recycled materials and use a special reformulated resin that offers long-term UV protection. This also eliminates paint, which is better for the environment. The packaging for all three cameras is also 100% plastic-free, redesigned with our own recognizably recyclable materials — including a strong, versatile paper and reformulated molded fiber. 2
The new Nest Cams and Doorbell feature the award-winning design you love, with an added focus on durability. The outdoor camera and doorbell are IP65-rated and built to brave dust, wind, snow and rain. The Nest Cam Indoor comes in Snow, Hazel and Berry. The Nest Cam Outdoor is available in Snow and Hazel, and the Nest Doorbell comes in Snow, Hazel and Linen.
The new Nest Cam and Doorbell hardware will be available starting October 1 on the Google Store and at major retailers: The new Nest Cam Indoor ($99.99) and Nest Cam Outdoor ($149.99, also in a two-pack at $249) will be available in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The new Nest Doorbell ($179.99) will be available in the United States and Canada. Gemini for Home features will roll out to owners of these new devices in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia first. These devices in other regions will receive the new Gemini for Home features in early 2026.

New home hardware for Gemini, starting with onn from Walmart
Gemini for Home shouldn't be limited to just one brand, form factor or price point. That’s why we’re expanding our platform with a new class of partner devices to give you more choices.
We’re partnering first with Walmart to launch the new onn Indoor Camera Wired and onn Video Doorbell Wired. You’ll be able to set them up and control them right from the Google Home app, where you’ll get 1080p live view resolution and intelligent alerts along with the new Gemini for Home cameras features, all at an affordable price. Your Google Home Premium subscription unlocks these advanced features, intelligent alerts and event history for your onn devices right alongside your Nest cameras, so you have one central hub for everything.

The onn Indoor Camera Wired ($22.96) and onn Video Doorbell Wired ($49.86) will be available on October 1 on walmart.com and in stores across the United States.
The Google Home Speaker: Engineered for Gemini

We’re also introducing the new Google Home Speaker, designed specifically for Gemini for Home. It’s built for more natural conversations, with custom processing to handle Gemini’s advanced AI for faster, more fluid interactions. A new light ring provides expressive visual feedback with a dynamic glow that shows you when Gemini is listening, thinking, reasoning, responding or in Gemini Live 1 mode. Intuitive controls make it easy to tap to adjust speaker volume or to stop interactions.
The Google Home Speaker delivers balanced, 360° audio that plays sound in every direction so you can enjoy uniform audio no matter where it’s placed in the room. And you’ll find a long-requested feature launching with our new speaker: You can now pair two Google Home Speakers with a Google TV Streamer to turn your living room into a home theater with cinematic surround-sound audio. It also supports existing features like grouping with other Home and Nest speakers for multi-room music and the ability to use two as a stereo pair. Plus, it also includes a physical toggle that mutes the microphone for privacy.
It’s compact and elegant form and comes in four new colors: Porcelain, Hazel, Jade and Berry. It’s also sustainably made with recycled materials and wrapped in a new yarn constructed using a unique 3D knitting process that significantly reduces fabric waste.
Gemini for Home will start rolling out to existing speakers and smart displays already in your homes as part of an early access program towards the end of October. The new Google Home Speaker will then launch in Spring 2026 for $99 and be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
