Since 2018, Be Internet Legends has been a cornerstone of online safety education in the UK for children aged 7 to 11. Developed and delivered by Parent Zone in partnership with Google, the programme embeds online safety and media literacy learning directly into classrooms through interactive assemblies, a free comprehensive curriculum, online tools, and games such as Interland.

We’re thrilled to announce that the programme has reached over 10 million pupils, covering 85% of primary schools in the UK. Be Internet Legends encourages children to be conscious of their online surroundings — and our recent integration of AI literacy into the programme will help more children understand and safely interact with AI-powered tools, empowering them to use these safely.

Throughout Be Internet Legend’s history we have worked with hundreds of Members of Parliament, local councils, mayors and teachers to bring these to life and we’re grateful to everyone who has supported the programme over the years.

This is a moment to celebrate the impact and scale of an incredible programme.

We remain committed to ensuring safe online experiences for young people across the UK, and working in partnership with experts such as Parent Zone to help deliver enriching learning experiences.
