Pushmeet Kohli is Vice President at Google DeepMind & Google Cloud’s Chief Scientist. At DeepMind, he leads the AI for Science and Strategic Initiatives Unit, which drives breakthroughs across biology, materials, fusion, math, software, and cybersecurity. His key work includes AlphaFold, the Nobel Prize-winning model for protein structure prediction, and pioneering large language model-based AI agents like AlphaEvolve and AI Co-Scientist.
Formerly Director of Research for the Cognition group at Microsoft Research, he was recognized by TIME in 2023 as one of the 100 most influential people in AI.
