Today we’re opening the Google AI Center Berlin. This new space will serve as a hub for leading AI researchers and developers from Google DeepMind, Google Research and Google Cloud to meet thought leaders from science, business, academia and politics. It will promote debate, collaboration and AI innovation.

At the opening event, we shared how we’re accelerating science and healthcare through AI enabled agents and platforms. We also announced a long-term research partnership with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) – a recipient of the Google.org AI for Science fund – and with Helmholtz Munich, building on our existing collaboration.

The new Google AI Center Berlin builds on our foundations of research and engineering in Germany and globally – and our emphasis on bold innovations with societal benefits. I look forward to the continued conversation and innovation of this community in helping drive AI for societal benefit.
