AI isn’t just helping people solve problems faster, it’s unlocking new possibilities for discovery and scalability. To support organizations at the forefront of scientific discovery and build on our inaugural AI for Science fund, we are launching a new $30 million global open-call, the Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Science.

This new initiative provides catalytic funding and technical expertise to help researchers, nonprofits and social enterprises unlock Nobel-level breakthroughs. We are specifically seeking projects in Health and Life Sciences, Crisis Resilience and Environmental Science.

In addition to funding, selected organizations will have the opportunity to participate in a Google.org Accelerator, receiving engineering support, technical mentorship and Google infrastructure to scale their solutions.

We are looking for the next generation of breakthrough scientific discoveries. Applications are open until April 17, 2026 — apply now and join us in our goal to drive scientific breakthroughs that transform how society tackles our biggest challenges.
