To celebrate its 20th birthday, Google Maps teamed up with one of Asia’s most popular multi-hyphenate artists, Nicholas “Chef Nic” Tse, to curate a list of his favorite places to eat in Hong Kong. Tse’s handpicked Maps list lets you explore his home city through his eyes and palate, with a mix of local and international flavors, including iconic Hong Kong-style cafes also known as “cha chaan teng.” And since Tse is also preparing for his first solo concert after a 25-year hiatus, fans can also enjoy his warm-up playlist on YouTube.
You can find others sharing their favorite Google Maps spots in the region — like Japan’s most scenic ports to Indonesia’s best cafes with a view and Singapore's lesser-known museums — on social media. Search the #UngatekeepingMaps hashtag to keep exploring Asia-Pacific.
