The West Memphis Energy Impact Fund just announced its first grant recipients, kicking off a $25 million commitment to energy affordability in Greater West Memphis and Crittenden County.

Often, homes need basic structural repairs before they can qualify for energy upgrades. To address this, we're working with Crowley’s Ridge Development Council, Groundswell and ICF to provide total home transformations.

By combining critical repairs with weatherization and new HVAC systems, this initiative is designed to lower monthly utility bills for residents while supporting the local workforce.

Most importantly, the community is leading the way. As part of the West Memphis Energy Impact fund, a newly formed Community Energy Advisory Council made up of 12 local leaders will guide funding for a dedicated $1.25 million in community grants to be awarded later in 2026, to ensure these resources go exactly where they’re needed most.

By bringing together private, federal, and utility funding, we're helping build a more affordable, energy-efficient future for our neighbors.
