With the International Chopin Piano Competition underway, visitors from all around the world are flocking to Poland. Beyond the appreciation for the music of its most famous composer, they can explore a country rich in vibrant traditions, captivating art, and historical sites.
We launched Picture Poland, a new collection on Google Arts & Culture that invites you to embark on an immersive journey through the vibrant cultural tapestry of Poland. This new digital hub unites over 80 partners, 400 expertly curated stories, over 15,000 high-resolution assets and more than 200 Street View captures.
Located in the beating heart of Europe, Poland is a land of stunning natural landscapes and ecological treasures, vibrant traditions, and centuries of rich history. From its diverse regions with unique customs, folklore and typical dishes to its remarkable museums, theaters and architecture, Poland's cultural mosaic offers a captivating glimpse into its unique identity.

- Customs and culinary: Delve into Poland's rich folk heritage, exploring vibrant traditions like folk costumes and festive customs from various regions, including unique handicrafts such as the symmetrical, tree-like Leluja papercut. You can also deep dive into the heart of Polish cuisine, preserved through generations by rural women's clubs.
- Nature's splendor: Experience Poland's breathtaking natural landscapes and ecological treasures, including its most valuable water reservoirs and small, dystrophic Suchar lakes which are invaluable for scientific research due to their sensitivity to environmental changes. For bird enthusiasts, explore the work of one of the country's most important bird conservation organizations, highlighting wetland ecosystems and the rare species that breed there.
- Artistic masterpieces: Immerse yourself in Poland's rich artistic legacy, from 19th-century masters who outlined the path toward modernity to avant-garde artists whose unique portrait systems are explored.. For a historical twist, explore a 3D model of the Treasure from Pińsk, which includes dozens of silver ornaments and over 500 Arabic coins hidden in the 10th century.
