As part of our efforts to help kids develop safe and productive relationships with technology, we’re supporting Girl Scouts of the USA with the launch of the new "Be Internet Awesome Family Challenge." The challenge helps all girls learn to be thoughtful digital citizens, and Girl Scouts who complete the activities can also unlock the new “Be Internet Awesome” Fun patch.
Based on our Be Internet Awesome curriculum and made possible with funding from Google.org, the resources teach girls and their families how to:
- Share with care
- Set digital boundaries
- Be kind online
- Be brave when they see hurtful or inappropriate behavior
By supporting organizations like Girl Scouts of the USA and Sesame Workshop, Google is helping the next generation of innovators develop a healthy relationship with technology. The family challenge and other resources for girls, parents and troop leaders are available on the Girl Scouts' Raising Awesome Girls website.
At a leadership summit hosted by Google and Girl Scouts of the USA, Ruth Porat, President & Chief Investment Officer, Alphabet and Google, helps Girl Scouts participate in digital wellbeing-focused activities to unlock the new Be Internet Awesome Fun patch.
