Yesterday, at the AI Horizons Summit in Pittsburgh, President of Google Customer Solutions Selin Song, alongside Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and Team Pennsylvania, launched Google's AI Accelerator for Pennsylvania small businesses. This program is part of the AI Works for America initiative, initially announced in July.
The Accelerator offers all small businesses in Pennsylvania a variety of no-cost resources, including:
- A series of live, hands-on workshops across the state led by a Pennsylvania AI Coach in partnership with local community organizations. Today’s workshop for 50 small businesses marked the first in the series.
- Google AI and Prompting Essentials courses, which are foundational, online offerings to help Pennsylvania small businesses and their teams learn how to use AI tools for work, at their own pace.
- Google Career Certificates, which offer businesses the opportunity to upskill their workforce in fields like cybersecurity, data analytics and project management with no previous experience required.
