Share your world of sound with LE Audio on Android

Today, we’re introducing new ways to listen to and share audio across devices with LE Audio, the next generation of Bluetooth that offers higher quality sound and more capabilities, such as broadcasting to multiple devices at the same time. Here’s what’s new:
Bringing LE Audio Auracast support to more devices
Earlier this year, we announced LE Audio Auracast 1 support for hearing aids. Today, we’re expanding Android’s LE Audio capabilities to headphones from Sony. We’re also bringing LE Audio Auracast support to compatible Pixel phones 2 , joining the existing line up of devices from Samsung Galaxy phones and Xiaomi devices.
This means more people are able to listen to broadcasts at Auracast-enabled venues, whether it’s to stay informed at the airport, explore self-guided audio tours at museums or listen to TV or music channels at the gym.
Building connections through a shared song or silent disco
With LE Audio Auracast on Android, you can easily share your audio with others. For more intimate listening, you can pair two LE Audio Bluetooth headphones to your phone so you and a friend can listen at the same time. This allows the two of you to stay in sync and enjoy music, movies or podcasts together, whether you're sitting in a cafe, waiting at an airport or commuting on the train.
LE Audio also allows you to share audio with a group. Simply start sharing from your phone, and they can connect their headphones instantly by scanning a QR code or with a single tap using Google’s Fast Pair. You can invite one friend or the whole group to tune in and enjoy the same audio together, no matter what app or subscription service you're using.
So if there’s a new song you like, you can have a friend listen to it with you on their headphones without needing to hand over your earbud. And if you’re hanging out with a group of friends, you can also create a private broadcast and transform your get-together into a silent disco. Everyone who joins in can jam to the same playlist using their own headphones, without disturbing anyone else.

By bringing LE Audio into Android phones and paired devices like hearing aids and headphones, we’re creating a more connected, inclusive audio experience for everyone. For more information, visit the Android website.
