We’re upgrading the Trending Now tool with more local and up-to-date trends, expanding it to over 100 countries and more.

We’ve made big changes to our Trending Now experience so you can get the most out of Google Trends. Trending Now helps you discover emerging trends patterns in real time. With this latest update, you can see even fresher data thanks to our new forecasting engine; explore trends in 100+ countries and regions around the world; and fine-tune your results to get more helpful insights. Here’s how we’re changing Trending Now to help you stay ahead of the curve.

See more trends in less time

A cutting-edge trend forecasting engine is behind our upgraded Trending Now tool. It detects 10 times as many emerging trends as before and refreshes every 10 minutes on average, so you see the latest upward Search swings right as they take off.

We’ve also redesigned Trending Now so you get the most valuable context front and center in your results. Now, you’ll see a breakdown of the trend including when it emerged, how long it’s been trending and related news articles. You’ll also see a graph of its Search interest over time. You can even compare multiple trends and easily export their data for a closer look.

This tool is now available in 125 countries, and in 40 of those, you can not only see what's trending in the country as a whole, but also dive deeper in specific regions.

Customize your Trending Now view

With the redesigned filters tab, you can tinker with trends results to find exactly what you need. Curious about popular searches in a certain area? Just use the handy location drop-down to get specific. Want to see what’s been all the rage in a particular time frame? You can choose to browse trends from the last 4 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours or 7 days. You can even cut out trends that have tapered off so you’re only seeing active ones.
