To mark Safer Internet Day in the UK, we’re highlighting the ways students, parents and educators can work together to ensure safe, effective learning.

From setting screen-time boundaries with Family Link to fostering critical thinking with Guided Learning in Gemini, Google is committed to providing tools to help families explore and learn safely online.

Google partners with trusted organisations to deliver online safety programmes for young people. This includes our Be Internet Legends programme which, with thanks to our partners ParentZone, has trained over 10 million pupils across the UK to be "sharp, alert, secure, kind and brave."

This year, we are sharing a new Family Guide to Online Safety – supported by ParentZone, Internet Watch Foundation and Childnet –which aims to help families in navigating the fast changing digital landscape, including how to make the most of AI tools for education.

With the right guardrails, we can all ensure the internet remains a space for positive curiosity and creativity.
