We’re rolling out a fresh new look in Gemini Notebook, along with new features that bring a more personalized and powerful learning experience. From gathering your trusted information and organizing your thoughts to sparking new ideas in one place, here are new ways to unlock deeper learning at every step:

Talk through tough concepts in your notebooks

Sometimes the best way to grasp a challenging topic is to talk it through. You can soon have a real-time conversation with your notebooks using our mobile app (Android/iOS) in nearly 100 languages. ¹ Because every response is grounded in your sources, you can get step-by-step guidance, ask questions and interrupt at any time just by speaking.

Capture anything, including your thoughts on the go

You can already use Gemini Notebook to take photos and upload your handwritten notes, worksheets, or other study materials. Starting next week, you can use the new audio recorder in the mobile app to capture lectures and record your thoughts on the go.

Your notes will live directly alongside your sources, meaning you can chat, cite, and build from them anytime, all while making ongoing edits. ²

Keep your study sessions focused and tailored to you

To help you make the most of your study sessions, you’ll be able to create interactive learning overviews (under Reports) to weave together summaries and studio outputs like infographics, quizzes and flashcards. ³

To better match diverse exam prep needs, we’re soon adding more quiz formats, including short answer, multiple select, and fill in the blank. ⁴ You can follow-up on completed quizzes and flashcards by asking your notebook chat about your performance, helping you figure out where to focus next. And you can always customize your quizzes and flashcards by adding or editing questions.

You can also create engaging Short Video Overviews in more than 80 languages and even share them with classmates or other people. These bite-sized ~60-second videos combine narrative overviews with educational animations to help make complex formulas, diagrams, and scientific concepts easier to digest.
