Google and Sesame Workshop are teaming up to help kids build healthy relationships with technology
In 2024, we shared how we’re promoting digital wellbeing, mental health and online safety for kids of all ages by collaborating with experts across child development, online safety and mental health fields.
Today, we’re bringing to life our work with Sesame Workshop. With support from Google.org, the global nonprofit behind Sesame Street is launching new resources to help children build healthy relationships with technology from a young age. New videos and digital resources featuring the beloved Muppets of Sesame Street teach children, families and caregivers how to create healthy digital habits — from how to “stop and take a breath” when using digital media to prioritizing connections with loved ones. The new resources are available at Sesame.org/digitalwellbeing.
Throughout the fall, Sesame Workshop will take these digital wellbeing resources on the road with librarian-led workshops for children and caregivers at public libraries across the country (a growing list of participating libraries can be found at the Sesame Workshop site). To complement these resources for kids, Sesame Workshop has also created a free professional development course that brings to life the healthy habits for adults, including teachers, social workers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.
Together with organizations like Sesame Workshop, we’re helping kids navigate life in a digital world.
Can’t get enough of the Muppets of Sesame Street? A sunny day is coming to YouTube. Beginning in January 2026, hundreds of full Sesame Street episodes are coming to the platform, making it the largest digital library of Sesame Street content.
