When we set out to design the new Fitbit Edge, 1 we asked ourselves a fundamental question: How do we reimagine the fitness tracker to establish a bold new standard for performance, aesthetics, and comfort?

For millions of people, a lightweight, discreet tracker is the ideal health and fitness companion. But active lifestyles demand more than just passive tracking. They require at-a-glance readability, dependable durability, and all-day comfort. With Fitbit Edge, we reconsidered every curve, interaction, and material to create a wearable device that feels as natural during a strenuous workout as it does at a dinner party.

Instant glanceability

Our first major design focus was the screen. When you’re mid-stride during a run, you shouldn’t have to squint or break your rhythm to check your stats.

Our largest, brightest tracker display yet features a brilliant Hybrid OLED panel that’s easy to read, even with a harsh outdoor glare. 2 We paired the screen with a completely overhauled UX and UI, structuring information into glanceable, high-contrast tiles and expressive clock faces that spotlight your key health and fitness information while delivering a distinctive look that elevates Fitbit Edge’s unique form.

Precision control and fit

Fitbit Edge Side Button

We carefully designed the mechanical architecture to include a tactile physical side button. A responsive touchscreen is great for daily navigation, but when you're mid-workout, tactility is everything. Sweaty fingers or wet weather can make on-screen tapping frustrating, but the ergonomic side button ensures that pausing your workout — or taking any other quick actions — is just a click away.

To ensure Fitbit Edge fits well, we sculpted the thin chassis and bottom sensor housing with a subtle curve. By contouring the device to match the anatomy of your wrist, we minimized pressure points while ensuring continuous skin contact for 24/7 heart-rate and sleep tracking.

Enduring design

Water- and dust-resistant, 3 Fitbit Edge balances elegance with active durability. Its chassis is made from 100% recycled aluminum 4 and comes in four finishes: Obsidian, Olive, Canyon, and Fog.

Our accessories have also been completely redesigned. 5 Switching up your look is easy whether you opt for a sleek, minimalist look or an active, athletic design.

  • Active Sport Band: Features wide perforations for maximum breathability during intense workouts. Available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Olive, and Hibiscus.
  • Performance Loop Band: 6 Combines stretchable, micro-adjustable fabric with custom swivel lugs to wrap closely to your wrist. Available in Obsidian, Fog, Olive, and Canyon.
  • Magnet Band: Pairs a premium silicone substrate with soft magnets for an intuitive clasp and a clean, minimalist silhouette. Available in Obsidian, Fog, and Mahogany.
  • Metal Link Band: Brings a classic, refined aesthetic to your daily companion. Available in Matte Black, Brushed Silver, and Champagne Gold.

When you're wearing a device 24/7, you need to trust that it's built to last. We thoughtfully crafted every detail of Fitbit Edge to stand up to your toughest days and keep up with your active lifestyle. With up to seven days of battery life, 7 it lets you spend less time plugged in and more time getting after your goals.

Maximum battery life is approximate and is based on testing conducted in California in 2026 on pre-production hardware and software, using default settings with a median Fitbit Edge user battery usage profile across a mix of the use of features that are default in Battery Saver mode. Battery life depends on features enabled, usage, environment and many other factors. Use of certain features will decrease battery life. Actual battery life may be lower. See g.co/fitbit/battery for more information on battery life.
