FitStar brings FitStar to Android

FitStar, a leading digital health and fitness company, has launched its popular mobile, video-based fitness app, FitStar Personal Trainer, for Android users in the U.S., with other territories coming soon. A recipient of Apple's Editors' Choice Award, as well as an App Store Best of 2013 and Best of 2014 product, FitStar Personal Trainer's expansion to Android opens the door for an entirely new audience to access the same award-winning FitStar experience on their mobile phones.

FitStar Personal Trainer for Android puts convenience in users’ hands by crafting personalized sessions led by football star Tony Gonzalez that can be done anywhere, anytime. Each workout is fully customized to a person’s fitness level so it can support a wide range of exercises, for people just getting started to highly conditioned athletes. By tailoring the intensity and difficulty of each move, the workouts progress as the user progresses.

FitStar Personal Trainer for Android offers a wide range of exercises within four goal-based Programs: Get Strong, Get Lean, Get Moving and Daily Dose. To keep the experience fresh, FitStar Personal Trainer also launches stand-alone workouts monthly, and to date has debuted nearly 30 handcrafted Freestyle sessions such as “10-Minute Abs,” “7-Minute Workout,” and “The FitStar 15.” Freestyle sessions are a perfect way to change up workouts or add on to existing sessions, and now they’re available for Android users, too.

The mobile app and FitStar Personal Trainer web application work in tandem, ensuring users’ progress is always reflected whether they are doing workouts on-the-go with their Android device, or checking in at home via the web.

In March 2015, FitStar was acquired by Fitbit and works with Fitbit’s leading platform. Users of FitStar Personal Trainer can publish workouts into their Fitbit account to see how their personal training practice affects their overall health. Using their Fitbit app login, users of the Fitbit platform can also easily set up a FitStar account. Fitbit’s broad mobile compatibility (including over 200 Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices, as well as computers), and the debut of FitStar Personal Trainer on Android, helps even more people reach their fitness goals. FitStar Personal Trainer for Android offers two personalized sessions a week and a handful of Freestyle sessions for free. Access to unlimited personalized sessions and all Freestyle sessions is $7.99/month or $39.99/year.
