Ever seen something cool, but couldn’t quite get a photo because it was so far away? It’s a scenario I find myself in too often, and it’s exactly why we built Pro Zoom on Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL.

While you can already capture impressive detail at up to 30x with Super Res Zoom on Pixel 9 Pro, sometimes there are moments that demand even more range — like spotting wildlife in the distance.

Before Pro Zoom, that egret was barely a speck on the shore. Now, with a clear photo at 100x zoom, I’m up close and personal and can see it with stunning detail.

Instead of just using a magnifying glass to look at a blurry, distant photo (similar to traditional digital zoom), Pro Zoom uses the few details that are there, like shapes and colors, and then fills in the rest of the missing information, creating a new, much clearer image.

This process uses a combination of the camera's captured data and generative AI to extrapolate details that the camera sensor couldn't physically capture on its own, resulting in some truly stunning shots.
