5 new things Gemini can do on Pixel

Yesterday at Made by Google, we introduced the newest additions to the Pixel lineup: Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a. And all our latest devices include big AI updates. Here are just five major Gemini upgrades that make the new Pixels more helpful, creative and more intelligent than ever.
1. Enjoy faster, smarter, smoother AI apps thanks to Gemini Nano
The newest Gemini Nano model powers some of the latest Pixel phones’ AI features, and runs on our newest generation custom silicon, Tensor G5 (our biggest chip upgrade yet). Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano are incredibly powerful and efficient. In fact, Tensor G5 and Gemini models come together to make plenty of features on our latest phones possible, like Magic Cue, Voice Translate and Pro Res Zoom. Plus, all on-device AI capabilities, like the recently launched photo-to-video feature in the Gemini app, run even more smoothly while using less power.
2. Ask Gemini Live to access your productivity apps
Gemini Live, which lets you chat naturally, hands-free with Gemini, is now officially integrated with Calendar, Keep, Tasks and Google Maps. This integration is available for everyone, including all Pixel users. This means, with your permission, Gemini Live can check on and update your Calendar, create a to-do list in Tasks or pull up coffee shop recommendations. And Gemini Live will be able to work with more Google apps soon, including Clock, Messages and Phone.
Since launching with Pixel 9, Gemini Live interactions are five times longer than text-based conversations on average — so now, you’ll be able to keep the conversation going with access to these apps.
3. Use Gemini Live to get visual guidance on your screen
Now, when you share your camera in a Gemini Live conversation, Gemini not only sees what you see but also provides visual guidance by highlighting things directly on your screen. These real-time visual cues and responses mean you can learn and solve problems in new ways with Gemini. For example, if you can’t decide between two winter coats, show Gemini each item using your camera, tell it what you’re looking for and it will highlight the one that best matches your needs.
4. Get extra photo help with Gemini in Guided Frame
We introduced Guided Frame for Pixel in 2024 to help blind and low-vision people snap great photos by using vibration and verbal cues as guides. Now, we’ve upgraded it with Gemini, which uses even better audio hints, vibrations, visuals and scene descriptions so you get the photo you want.

5. Go hands-free with Gemini on Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a
Pixel 10 phones aren’t the only devices with AI updates — we have a few noteworthy launches for your wrist and ears, too. One incredibly helpful new Gemini capability for Pixel Watch is Raise to Talk: Just lift your wrist and start speaking to activate Gemini for hands-free help. And Pixel Buds 2a are the first buds in our A-series to feature Gemini: You can ask Gemini to summarize or respond to messages and give recommendations or reminders — all without checking your phone.
Pixel Drops will continue to update all your Pixel products with new features — including plenty of Gemini launches, of course.
