Magic Eraser plus more Google Photos features coming to Google One
Google Photos helps you get the most out of your photos and videos by making them easy to find, organize, edit and share. And over the past few years, we’ve added AI-powered editing tools, like Magic Eraser, to the latest Pixel phones.
Now we’re bringing Magic Eraser and other enhanced editing features to more people. Starting today, Google One members — on both Android and iOS — and all Pixel users will be able to enjoy Magic Eraser, a new HDR video effect and exclusive collage styles.1 Plus, Google One members will get free shipping on print orders.2 Take a look at how you can use these tools to make the most of your memories.
Remove photobombers with Magic Eraser
It’s frustrating when you think you have the perfect shot, only to discover distractions in the background. Magic Eraser detects distractions in your photos, like photobombers or power lines, so you can remove them in just a few taps. You can also circle or brush other things you want to erase and Magic Eraser will make them disappear.3 Plus, Camouflage in Magic Eraser can change the color of objects in your photo to help them blend in naturally with the rest of the photo — putting the focus on what matters.
Enhance your videos with the HDR effect
You can already use the HDR effect on photos to help balance dark foregrounds and bright backgrounds (or vice versa), so you can soak in every detail. Now, the HDR effect also lets you enhance the brightness and contrast across your videos. The result? Dramatic, balanced videos that are ready to share.
New, exclusive collage editor designs
To give you even more choices when you’re putting together collages in Google Photos, we’re adding a few updates to the collage editor. First, all Google Photos users can now apply Styles to a single photo in the collage editor. Second, a range of new Styles are coming to the collage editor for Google One members and Pixel users, so you have more designs to choose from when making your collages.
Google One members and Pixel users can choose from a number of designs, including limited-time styles from artists Yao Cheng Design and DABSMYLA.
Free shipping on print orders
If you’re a Google One member, starting today you can get free shipping on orders from the print store in the United States, Canada, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Bring your memories to life with custom photo books, canvas prints and photo prints in various sizes.
These features are starting to roll out today in Google Photos for Google One members on all plans and all Pixel users. If you’re not already a Google One member, you’ll be able to sign up for a free trial4 in Google Photos starting in early March so you can try these features for yourself.
