More partners are joining the Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades.

The Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades is expanding, welcoming 14 new partners to accelerate training and career access nationwide.

For every 100 skilled trades workers needed, training pathways are producing just 55 people. To help bridge the gap, the Alliance members are uniting to expand apprenticeships, modernize training, and scale these pathways at a national level – with a shared commitment to support skilled workforce initiatives in across the U.S.

The Alliance also released its inaugural State of America's Skilled Trades Workforce Report, developed with the Burning Glass Institute and Jobs for the Future. The research highlights a critical challenge:

• High demand: Industry growth and retirements are projected to create 1.7 million skilled trades openings each year.
• Training gap: Only 55 workers are currently being prepared for every 100 skilled trades positions needed nationally.
