We’re celebrating Black History Month by highlighting the creators, developers and businesses at the heart of the Black community, and we’re launching new features and content across our products.

It starts with a new Doodle music video set to a custom track by Illa J that celebrates the art of hip-hop beat making, highlighting how hip-hop producers have innovated techniques for mixing and looping sound. On Google Play, discover a hub featuring curated collections of apps, games and books by Black developers and creators, as well as special events for Black History Month. On Google TV, explore collections that honor Black genius and strength, from historical icons and Afrofuturist sci-fi to free live TV channels. And YouTube will celebrate with creators & artists from the community through their social channels.

These launches join our ongoing work, like featuring art from the Chrome Black Artists Series, relaunching our annual Black History Month background on Google Meet, making it easier to find Black-owned businesses in Search and Maps, and exploring stories on Black History and Culture with Google Arts & Culture.
