Nestled in a scenic architectural complex on the coastline of Salvador sits one of the most important modern art institutions of Brazil. The Museum of Modern Art of Bahia offers a collection of rich heritage that captures the vibrant spirit of Brazil, and for the first time we are excited to bring this collection to a global audience.

In a collaboration with Google Arts & Culture, the experience of MAM-Bahia is now available online through the digitization — in super high resolution — of over 70 paintings from our collection. Visitors from around the world can now delve into our digital collection, and discover the stories that make our museum unique. From Manor to Museum

Dive deep into the history of Solar do Unhão, the beautiful seaside complex where the Museum is located. From its origins back in the 16th century, learn about how this historical site was transformed through time and then through the vision of architect Lina Bo Bardi into the major cultural hub that it is today.
