Tap to pay with Google Pay is coming to Walmart.

Whether you’re shopping for groceries or picking up everyday essentials, you expect a convenient checkout experience that moves as fast as your life. Tap to pay using Google Pay is a proven time-saver for in-store shoppers, and now, we’re excited to bring that convenience to Walmart customers. Starting next week, shoppers can tap to pay using Google Pay for a quicker and more secure buying experience at select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations in the U.S., with plans to roll it out to all U.S. stores and clubs by the end of 2026 and to fuel stations by mid-2027.

This update builds on Google and Walmart’s ongoing partnership, bringing the convenience and security of Google Pay to one of your favorite stores.

The next time you’re stocking up at Walmart, just add your preferred card to Google Wallet and let Google Pay handle the checkout so you can get back to your day.
