Join friends and millions of players playing on Android or other platforms

With cross-play functionality on Minecraft on Chromebooks, you can team up with friends across multiple devices, including Android, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Windows computers. Cross-play lets you play in Creative mode with unlimited blocks and team up on epic builds, or hunt for resources together in Survival mode, crafting tools to fend off danger. (Cross-play requires a Microsoft account.)

Dive into the new Minecraft Trails & Tales Update

You can now play the newly announced Trails & Tales update on Chromebooks. The update features new mobs, new blocks and new items to transform your Overworld and meet a sniffer, brush for pottery shards or adventure for armor trims. The new update also comes with new features including the ability to share camel rides with friends and leave each other messages with the new, editable hanging signs.

Get it on Chromebook, use it at no additional cost on Android

We want to make it easy for people with Android devices to play Minecraft both on their phones and their Chromebooks’ larger screens.
