New ways Google Workspace customers can use Gemini

A graphic reads "Gemini for Google Workspace"

Earlier this month, we announced that Gemini was coming to Google Workspace. Starting today, Duet AI for Google Workspace is Gemini for Google Workspace, giving customers access to our most capable AI models. As part of this update, Gemini will be built into the Workspace apps that millions of customers use every day.

With offerings for consumers, teams and organizations of all sizes, Gemini for Workspace can help you with tasks like organizing a birthday party, drafting a marketing campaign or writing a business plan for a new venture. Gemini for Workspace will also include a new standalone experience to chat with Gemini, with enterprise-grade data protections.

Find the right plan for your business

Millions of small businesses use Workspace to connect, create and collaborate. And they see the value AI can offer their business: In fact, a recent survey found that 88% of small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers expressed interest in working with generative AI technologies to help them with data analysis, task management, email drafting, customer support and more.1

So today we’re launching Gemini Business, a lower price offering to help organizations big and small get started with generative AI in Workspace. This plan gives them access to Gemini for Workspace — including experiences like Help me write in Docs and Gmail, Enhanced Smart Fill in Sheets and image generation in Slides — for as low as $20 per user per month with an annual commitment.

Customers can also purchase Gemini Enterprise, which replaces Duet AI for Workspace Enterprise. At $30 per user per month with an annual commitment, Gemini Enterprise offers the same capabilities as Gemini Business with more usage. It also includes additional capabilities for AI-powered meetings, where Gemini can translate closed captions in more than 100 language pairs, and soon even take meeting notes. Starting today, existing Duet AI for Workspace customers will be automatically upgraded to Gemini Enterprise.

Chat with Gemini in a new standalone experience

Today we’re also beginning to roll out a new, enterprise-grade standalone experience to chat with Gemini. This experience uses 1.0 Ultra, and will be available for Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise customers at gemini.google.com.

A screen says "Hello, Megan" with "Gemini for Company Inc." underneath and options like "Generate and share market insights" and "Find inspiration for your new logo."

Because it uses 1.0 Ultra, our largest and most capable model widely available today, you’ll get insightful and expert responses with the ability to double check responses. For instance, if you’re a freelance marketing consultant, you could ask Gemini to help you understand business trends, competitive analysis and forecasting in order to create a go-to-market plan for your client.

This experience has additional enterprise-grade data protections, meaning your conversations with Gemini are not used for advertising purposes or to improve our generative machine-learning technologies, reviewed by humans, or shared with other users or organizations.

Learn more about Gemini for Workspace, including what offering works best for you and your business. And if you're a Google One AI Premium Plan member, check out how you can use Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Meet. We're also working to bring Gemini for Workspace to education customers, and we look forward to sharing more about this in the coming weeks.
